International Women’s Day Dinner

The dinner was the inaugural International Women’s Day event for the Anglesea Golf Club.
Women’s Club President, Denise Pennings, MC’d the event, Club President, Mike Grossman welcomed guests and Surfcoast Shire Mayor, Libby Stapleton provided an acknowledgment of Country. Guests heard from Women’s Captain, Sue Gell who introduced the Club’s new Assistant Golf Professional, Vicky Uwland and talked about Burtta Cheney who was a great champion for women’s golf throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s.
The guest speaker, Emma Dean, inspired all with her stories and insights.
The evening was a great success with Silent Auction and Raffle donations raising $4600 which will go towards the Junior Girls Golf Development program.
